Malone’s Lens: Crystal clear

Ever feel like going and relaxing as you look over a calm, beautiful lake? You might want to head over to Schoolcraft County and enjoy the view photographer Shawn Malone recently snapped a photo of.

Sometimes we’re pretty jealous of the places Shawn Malone goes to take photos, and today is one of those days.

She was recently over by Manistique and snapped this gorgeous photo of Kitch-iti-kipi, which is Michigan’s largest natural freshway spring. It’s over 200 feet from edge to edge and it is almost always absolutely crystal clear. You can take a trip on the raft and watch the sand change formations from the constant flow of water from the limestone 40 feet below the surface.

If you haven’t been to Kitch-iti-kipi, you really should consider taking a trip there and seeing this gorgeous gift from nature.
