Teal Lake Senior Living Community cuts ribbon

A new senior living development is now open in Negaunee, overlooking Teal Lake — so the name is no surprise; the facility is called the Teal Lake Senior Living Community.
 
It’s open to senior residents with apartment-style living and a certified staff on site day and night. Some of the amenities include a therapy room, salon and barbershop, two spa rooms with whirlpool and showers, air conditioning, plowed parking, a private dining room for parties or family events, a large activity room, nearby walking paths, and of course, that Teal Lake view.
 
All total, the facility, at 209 W. Water Street in Negaunee, is 32,000 square feet with 38 apartments, ranging from one-bedrooms to studio setups with private bathrooms and kitchenettes. Developers broke ground on the building a little more than a year ago.
 
The Teal Lake Senior Living Community celebrated a ribbon cutting with the Greater Ishpeming-Negaunee Chamber of Commerce in late September, which included facility tours. Private tours for those interested in seeing the facility also are available.
