War Memorial Hospital is expanding, with the recent purchase by the hospital of a Kinross clinic.

According to hospital CEO David Jahn, War Memorial finalized the purchase of Northern Urgent Care in Kinross last week, with the hospital assuming all clinic operations. It’ll now be called War Memorial Hospital Community Care–Kinross.

It’s all part of the hospital’s goal of expanding its primary care services to surrounding communities.

“In recent years, War Memorial has sought to expand services in the outlying communities in the region. The addition of Kinross means greater convenience for our patients and more access to care for those currently without a primary care provider,” says Jahn. The hospital also has clinics or services in DeTour Village, Drummond Island and Cedarville.

The clinic’s hours remain the same, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. with both appointments and walk-ins accepted.
