There’s a new attorney over at the Elder Law Firm of Anderson Associates and she is looking to continue the high-quality service the firm has come to be known for.

Kim Winokur was recently announced by the law firm as a new senior associate attorney. She comes to Anderson Associates with plenty of experience, too, having practiced law in Ann Arbor for 15 years before accepting the position in Marquette.

“We are very excited to add attorney Kim Winokur to the Anderson Associates team,” says attorney Robert Anderson. “Kim’s unique experience as a mother of a special needs child and as an expert in guardianship and disability rights will allow our firm to increase our service to vulnerable persons.”

Winokur received her bachelor’s degree is psychology from the University of Michigan before moving on the study at Michigan State University and eventually Wayne State University where she obtained her master’s degree.

Prior to joining Anderson Associates, Winokur’s law practice focused on elder care, probate and estate planning, estate administration, guardianships, conservatorships, and special needs matters. She was a founding partner of the Michigan Professional Guardianship Group Inc.

Winokur is a past President of the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan, recipient of the 2011 WLAM Mary Foster Leadership Award, a Veteran’s Association accredited attorney and licensed to practice before the United States District Court and the US Court of Appeals. She is also a certified elder law and civil mediator
