“The Sault Tribe is proud to stand behind the Rx Kids program because it provides real, immediate relief for families when they need it most,” said Austin Lowes, who is chairman of the Sault Tribe of Chippewa Indians.
“This experience has helped you explore what the world needs, what you’re good at, what you love and what you can be paid for,” said Trent Bellingar, director of the DSISD Career and Technical Education Center.
“The Superior Watershed Partnership is pleased to be working with the Michigan DNR to remove three obsolete dams in the Upper Peninsula,” said Geraldine Grant, who is a planner for the Superior Watershed Partnership.
“I think it's very important as we see the change in our agricultural industry, there’s just so many people now that are so far removed from agriculture and what it takes to raise an animal, and it's just wonderful to show folks what it does take and how much effort goes into it,” said Paul Naasz, president of the Alger County Fair Board.
"There are multiple groups that help people learn about the outdoors and enjoy things they've never done before in community with others, but people don't always know they exist or actively seek them out," says Shawnrece Butler, assistant vice president for Opportunity, Empowerment and People at Northern Michigan University.
