“This robust investment will support Michigan Tech’s researchers, faculty, and students’ continued efforts to develop and deploy the next generation of technologies to recycle electric vehicle batteries that will guide the future of the auto industry in Michigan and nationwide,” said Rick Koubek, president of Michigan Technological University.

“The City Council is stymied on the language and the procedure for everything else suggested; however, I believe the council might be willing to approve the new application,” Mayor Mark Ammel said.
"The traditional territory of the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community includes coastal and shoreline habitats which are critical places for culturally important species, foods, medicines and gathering,” said Debra Shore, EPA regional administrator.
Libraries that serve both schools and the public are becoming popular co-working spaces across rural Michigan.
A restaurant in the Eastern Upper Peninsula is getting new life. Seney Crossing is in the rural community’s multipurpose building, which includes the local post office, an abandoned bank and space for a general store and commercial bakery.
The Ironwood Daily Globe, a newspaper based out of Ironwood, is dropping from a daily to a weekly. Since it will no longer be a daily newspaper, the publication will be called The Globe.
