CCI aids in expanding voice services throughout state

CCI Systems, based in Iron Mountain, has long prided itself for having the ability to expand communications platforms for anyone and any company.

Now, they’re helping do that for the entire state.

CCI Systems recently announced that it is partnering with Merit Network to help provide affordable and flexible voice solutions to research and education organizations across the state. MeritVoice, with the help of CCI, will be able to provide advanced voice over IP services, network equipment and around-the-clock technical support to its members.

Merit Network and CCI are working collaboratively with the plans of expanding Merit’s fiber network and providing voice services to their clients. Using their engineers to design, configure and implement an IP voice solution to work with the existing network, CCI was able to take a vital role in the expansion and delivery of MeritVoice.

“We are very pleased to provide enhanced cloud services, including voice and engineering solutions to Merit Network Members,” says CCI’s Patrick Case. “Merit truly has the strongest fiber network in the state of Michigan, providing IP based service to government and educational organizations in Michigan.”

The CCI and Merit relationship is expected to continue to grow with future plans to build additional networks in rural, off-network areas throughout Michigan.
