Willow Creek Cinema in Escanaba plans remodel
Willow Creek Cinema in Marquette and Tri-City Cinema in Quinnesec are remodeling with new seating and upgrades.
The Willow Creek Cinemas in Escanaba is planning some remodeling.
Similar to owner Thomas Theatre Group’s new theater in Marquette, Willow Creek will now get new seating, including leather high-backed regular seating and assigned, roomier VIP seating areas.
Two theaters will be renovated with the new seats, and other new additions include aisle reconfiguration, lighting and flooring. The plan is to have it done by mid-November, in time for the holiday season.
The theater will remain open during the construction process, and asks patrons to bear with the renovations, keeping in mind the end result will be improved comfort and quality. It’s the latest in a line of upgrades at the theater, which got all-new digital projection, sound and screens in 2014.
Quinnesec moviegoers can expect the same VIP treatment to come, as well, at Thomas’s third location, Tri-City Cinemas.
