Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Eric Wakkuri has a few more responsibilities at DSTECH in Escanaba now that he’s been promoted to vice president.

Joe Knauf, owner of the company, recently announced his decision to promote Wakkuri, who has been with the company since 2001 and most recently led DSTECH’s consulting services division. In that role, Wakkuri helped develop DSTECH’s offers in surveillance, customer-premise VoIP, hosted VoIP and managed services.

Wakkuri’s new position will find him replacing Peter Denman, who is retiring from DSTECH. Denman, who joined the company in 1984, was the longest-serving employee at the business and played a key role in its growth. During his tenure as vice president, Denman was instrumental in providing data processing services and customized program packages to schools, municipalities, industry and business. These packages included payroll, financial accounting, inventory control, as well as several industry specific offerings. Most recently his work for DSTECH included VoIP Telephony implementation, support for the IBM iSeries platform and remote processing services.
