Elite Limousine offers services in Dickinson County

It’s a pretty cute story, how Elite Limousine of Kingsford got its start as a brand-new limousine service in the western U.P.

The new company is run by wife-and-husband team Laura and Craig Baumler, and has two 14-passenger limousines for hire, serving the U.P. and northern Wisconsin. You can choose from the classic stretch Lincoln Towncar, or a stretch Ford Excursion SUV limo.

How did it all start? A romantic gesture on Craig’s part — or at least, an attempted one.

“Craig and I were inspired to open a limousine service after we got married last year,” says Laura. “Craig had wanted to surprise me with a limousine on our special day but was not able to find a local service. When he checked into getting a limousine service from out of our area it was out of our wedding budget.”

So, although the happy couple didn’t get a limo on their wedding day, they are now making it possible for local couples and families to hire one for their special event, and Laura says their goal is to provide an affordable service for the community.

Elite Limousine is certified, licensed and insured, and can serve business meetings, shuttle service to airports or casinos, weddings, proms, sports events, or just a night on the town. The Baumlers promise to treat each special occasion with individual attention and professionalism–like they would their own wedding.
