Farmer Q’s will reopen in new location

It’s OK. Just admit it. You, like many of us, were sad that Farmer Q’s Market was closing and leaving Marquette forever.

But, the owners recently announced that they’ve decided against that decision, and instead will be opening in a larger location in South Marquette to serve their customers.

The company, which offers up a variety of produce and other items that are typically sourced in Michigan, will open up shop at the corner of South Front and Genesee streets in south Marquette. If you’re trying to picture what is there right now, it’s the former Cliff’s Muffler Shop.

There, the business will have better parking and expanded space. They are expecting to resume operations by the week of May 11–Mother’s Day–which the company says is just in time for Michigan-grown asparagus.
