Comedian Zarna Garg takes the stage Friday evening at the Rozsa Center for the Performing Arts.
History: The carnival has been organized by Blue Key National Honor Society since 1934. The carnival began in 1922 and has grown into one of the biggest annual winter celebrations in the nation. The carnival brings Huskies together to compete in broomball, comedy skits, human ice bowling, and a royalty coronation.
What they’re saying: “I’m hoping to create a welcoming and magical feeling for all attendees. Between the towering snow statues, drones lighting up the sky, students performing on stage, broomball, SnoBall and fireworks, Winter Carnival stands out as an event as unique as Michigan Tech,” said Andrew Hemstreet ’26, president, Blue Key National Honor Society.
