Lakestate Industries moves to new location
Lakestate Industries recently held a celebration of their new location in Marquette.
The Escanaba-based organization now has a second location at a new address, 1500 State Highway M28 in Marquette.
Lakestate offers employment and training to disabled people or others with barriers to employment. Among the products it creates are woodworked furniture, household items and fire starters. It also employs workers in recycling and other industries, according to their ability. The goal is to reach a higher level of community inclusion and support workers with barriers to overcome them.
The celebration was held in conjunction with the Lake Superior Community Partnership.
