Three new employees at the Lake Superior Community Partnership

Three new faces will be representing economic development group Lake Superior Community Partnership in the U.P.

Betsy Babcock is LSCP’s new director of marketing and communications; Claire Kooperman is the new assistant for events and marketing, and Tina Nelson is assistant to economic development and operations.

“We are very excited to welcome Betsy, Claire and Tina to our LSCP family,” LSCP CEO Amy Clickner says. “Each come to us with significant experience in their respective fields, are professional and ready to serve our business clients and member partners.”

Babcock comes to LSCP from Florida Citrus Sports in Orlando, and has a degree in entertainment and sports promotion from Northern Michigan University. She will be in charge of developing and managing the partnership’s public face, which includes things like branding, creative direction, marketing, public relations and member relations.

Kooperman graduated from NMU with a degree in entertainment and sports promotion, and has most recently been the conference services administrator for Mission Point Resort on Mackinac Island. She will assist with membership, marketing, events, board operations and public relations.

Nelson is a graduate of Westwood High School and attended Glen Oaks Community College. She’s worked at Marquette Branch Prison, Edward Jones and Pathways in various administrative capabilities. She will support the economic development team at LSCP and is responsible for office maintenance and administration.
