LSSU transitions campus Health Care Center operations to Alcona Health Center
Lake Superior State University is transitioning the operations of its campus Health Care Center to Alcona Health Center over a 120-day period that began July 27. The move ensures uninterrupted, quality medical services for students and the community while giving current staff the opportunity to join Alcona Health Center.

What’s happening: Lake Superior State University has begun transitioning the operations of its campus-based Health Care Center to Alcona Health Center, a nonprofit federally qualified health center. The move ensures continued access to quality health care services for students and the surrounding community. The transition began on July 27 and will take place over a 120-day transition period. Current Health Care Center staff will remain in place throughout the transition and will have the opportunity to join Alcona Health Center.
