What’s happening: Visit Keweenaw is encouraging people to vote for Mount Bohemia Ski Resort on USA Today’s 10Best Ski Resorts in North America contest. The all-natural powder resort in Lac La Belle on the Keweenaw Peninsula is Michigan’s northernmost ski hill and the only one to be nominated from the Midwest in the annual 10Best Contest. People can vote once a day until Monday, Nov. 11 at noon.

About the contest: The selection of ski resorts is picked by a panel of national industry experts and then voted upon by USA Today readers. Bohemia is running up against hot destinations in the ski industry like Banff in Alberta, Canada, Utah, and Colorado. Bohemia has made the top 10 list for more than a decade and achieved the number one spot last year.

About Mount Bohemia: Opened in 2000, Mount Bohemia averages 273 inches of snow each season, and offers the longest runs and most vertical drop of any ski area in the Midwest — with a 900-foot vertical drop. Known for its extreme skiing experience, Mount Bohemia has expanded this year boasting 620 skiable acres and 111 runs. Its longest trail is the Ghost Trail, stretching nearly two miles down the hills of Mount Bohemia.

To vote: Public rankings disappear in the final week of voting, and Bohemia was ranked #2 last week. Vote here.
