Olson Swedish Massage open in Norway

If you’re looking for a massage therapist in the western end of the U.P. (or, for that matter, northeast Wisconsin), there’s a new massage therapy studio in Norway, called Olson Swedish Massage.

Owned by Lia Olson, massage therapist, the studio opened in July, and had a celebratory ribbon-cutting in December. Olson, originally from Homestead, Wisconsin, graduated from the Marquette School of Therapeutic Massage in 2012 and trained in traditional Swedish massage, relaxation massage, deep tissue massage, seated massage and trigger point therapy. She feels her services can be useful to almost anyone.

“The present lifestyle of most Americans practically guarantees low back pain,” says Olson. She can help relieve neck, back, shoulder and joint pain as well. Massage is also used in conjunction with a physician’s care to reduce stress, enhance blood circulation, decrease pain, promote sleep, reduce swelling, enhance relaxation, and increase oxygen capacity of the blood.

Her office is located in the Anderson Memorial Professional Building at 400 Main Street in Norway.

“It has always been my dream to have my own business and to help people in my community,” she says. “I feel very fortunate to have grown up in this beautiful area.”
