“CCT is one of just three national byways in Michigan and the only one in the Upper Peninsula. The Byway is a key driver of the visitor economy, serving as a showcase for the dozens of unique scenic and historic assets in the Keweenaw Peninsula.” said Jerry Wuorenmaa, executive director of the Western UP Planning and Development Region.

Interest in electric recreational trails continues to grow in the U.P. The Central Upper Peninsula Planning and Development and Innovate Marquette SmartZone are pursuing an electrified trails feasibility study for the central U.P.

It's been a successful fish stocking season for the Upper Peninsula and Michigan. Three U.P hatcheries contributed to that success and are luring anglers and visitors curious about the operations.
