More than 100 people came to a two-day clinic in Grand Rapids to get COVID vaccinations. It’s one of the many ways Disability Rights Michigan is using a grant to protect the health of the state’s most vulnerable populations.
One of the barriers to accessing COVID vaccinations for the disability community has been transportation. In response, Disability Rights Michigan has unveiled an interactive guide to help users navigate the complex transportation system in the state.
High school students from all over Michigan return to Lake Superior State University next month for the annual robotics competition. The competition is designed to inspire interest in the field of robotics and to introduce students to the robotics degree opportunities at LSSU.
"Building new and rehabilitated housing in our built environment is a challenge, but we are up to the challenge and recognize that it’s an essential piece of growing our state,” said Amy Hovey, CEO and executive director of the Michigan State Housing Development Authority.
“We are pleased that company’s project will remain in Delta County, as well as the 17 new jobs the project will create. Creative Composites will provide an example for our manufacturing community that not only can you ‘Make It in Michigan,’ but you can make it in Delta County and the U.P. as well," said Ed Legault, executive director of the Delta County Economic Development Alliance.
