There is no doubt that the interest in electric cars is growing (you've noticed the $3.80 gas price, right?) and Marquette has made a point of helping those with such vehicles keep the juice flowing when they come to the city. Managing editor Sam Eggleston talks about the new charging station in the city's downtown and why it needs to be a growing trend.
While a future that includes a college education is a given for some high school students, the Marquette-Alger College Access Network is developing an initiative that will encourage all area students to seek education beyond the high school classroom. It's part of a larger statewide plan to help more Michigan students attend, and succeed in, college.
