Marquette's Third Street is an increasingly busy thoroughfare, and city planners are looking at its future as a mixed-use, walkable, bikable corridor that can connect downtown with residential areas with some needed improvements.
In the last few years, more new wineries and wine tasting rooms have cropped up in the U.P., joining established wineries and vineyards and strengthening this growing Upper Peninsula industry. Take a drive down U.S. 2 this fall along the shores of Lake Michigan and visit some of the newcomers and existing winemakers.
