Bowling alley gets facelift, new name and new owners in Ishpeming

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...
Looking for fun and bowling in Ishpeming? Well, you shouldn’t be looking for the Country Lanes anymore. That location, right off of U.S. 41 by Jasper Ridge Brewery, is now under new ownership, has a new name and offers up a lot of new entertainment.

The Red Rock Lanes feature 16 lanes, a bar and grill (try the pizza) as well as a full pro-shop, a banquet and conference center that accommodates up to 300 guests, an arcade and pool tables.

The Red Rock Lanes are owned by Clay and Donna Sandberg, who purchased the business from the Country Village. Clay Sandberg is no stranger to running such a location as he has been the general manager since the Country Lanes first opened in 1991.

The venue is already seeing quite a bit of change, bringing in live music, comedians and even hosted Second City improv over the holidays.
