Taiga Games adds second location

Taiga Games in Marquette is expanding its business to a second downtown location.

Marquette game and comic book store Taiga Games is expanding to add a second downtown location.

Currently operating in the Village Mall on Third Street, Taiga will keep that space open, but split its all-in-one business, moving some parts over to 145 West Washington Street, right below the 906 Sports Bar.

Owner Sam Towers says the move will give the Washington Street location more space for board games, comics and graphic novels. Also featured in the new location will be tables for board gaming and an increased selection; it’ll be called Taiga Games and Comics.

The Third Street location will remain open as the Taiga Games Tournament Center, devoted to Magic the Gathering, Force of Will, other card games, and miniatures, and providing more room for competitive and casual gameplay.

The move will happen in June, with an event to launch and celebrate the new store planned for July 1.
