Talons Supper Club in Norway holds ribbon cutting

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

A new supper club is offering up homemade pastas, sauces and steaks in the Dickinson County area of the U.P. Talons Supper Club opened in July and recently celebrated a ribbon-cutting.

Talons is located at 512 7th Avenue in Norway, Michigan, and is owned and operated by Lynn and Michael Schultz. It gets its name in honor of Lynn’s late father, who loved eagles.

Lynn and her mother make the recipes from family favorites, and customers have been making them favorites, too, since the summer.

Another specialty is the Friday night fish fries, which include breaded perch, walleye, cod, salmon and shrimp. Weekly and monthly specials also are on the menu, built around customer favorites and requests.

It’s open Tuesday to Sunday from 4 to 9 p.m in a redecorated building, formerly the Corner House. Mondays are available for private parties, and afternoons and mornings are available for business meetings, luncheons or other private gatherings.
