Among the success stories of Great Lakes Boat Building School in Cedarville is the nearly 100 percent placement of graduates in various marine careers the past several years. A surge in recreational boating in Michigan and across the country is helping graduates find jobs and underscores the importance of the small but growing school.

Growing Michigan Together Council addresses housing and other concerns across the state

“This funding is critical not just for the city, but for multiple counties that receive salt shipments, aggregate, and benefit from cruise ship tourism. Having a roadway of this caliber will increase our import/export power and combat supply chain issues," said Brian Chapman, Sault Ste. Marie city manager.

Taking off: Ford Airport expands, wins awards

Ford Airport isn't resting on any accolades. The Dickinson County airport is expanding. A new hangar will open this summer and a second one is in the works. And the ground will be broken in the spring of 2025 on a new multi-million dollar passenger terminal.
