New staff join Upper Great Lakes Family Health

Three new health care providers join the Upper Great Lakes Family Health network in the U.P.

The Upper Great Lakes Family Health Center has three new medical practitioners on staff.
 
In Gwinn, nurse practitioner Sandra Croasdell has joined their team of health care providers. She has extensive training including as an acute care nurse practitioner with a master’s degree in nursing from Wayne State University. She also has three degrees from Oakland University: a master’s degree as a family nurse practitioner, a master’s degree in nursing education, and a doctorate in nursing practice.
 
At the Hancock Family Health Center, Michael Verive, M.D., has joined the team of pediatric medicine providers. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is a board-certified pediatrician with a passion for advocacy for children.
 
Andrew Gurien, M.D., is the third addition to the UGL staff and will be practicing at the Ontonagon Community Health Center. He has more than 10 years of experience in internal medicine, is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and also is certified in advanced cardiovascular life support and basic life support.
 
The center, which has locations in Gwinn, Sawyer, Houghton, Calumet, Hancock, Menominee, Lake Linden, Iron River, and Ontonagon, serves rural areas across the central and western U.P. with a diverse team of nurses, doctors, and nurse practitioners providing care to all ages.
