New distributor U.P. Outdoors open in Delta County
When it comes to the Upper Peninsula, it’s easy to think about the outdoors. Some folks, like Ward Johnsen, think about what business opportunities those outdoors might bring.
Johnsen is the owner of a new business called U.P. Outdoors, which is a distributor of outdoor products throughout the Upper Peninsula and northern Wisconsin.
The company, which can be found online, works with a couple of different products, such as an interesting water-mat that holds up to 1,300 pounds called the MauiMat, or fishing bobbers in the shape of shotgun shells.
For those who have lakefront property, they also have a device called a MuckMat that helps improve waterfronts and make them more usable and reduces weeds.
