Annual Yellow Dog event and concert slated for this week

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

There are a lot of programs out there that never quite figure out a way to say “thanks” to those who have donated time, money and effort to their causes. Thankfully for folks around Marquette County and beyond, the Yellow Dog Watershed Preserve isn’t one of them.

The organization will be hosting its annual meeting and concert this Saturday, Dec. 3, at 7:30 p.m. at Upfront & Company in Marquette. This year’s entertainment is Steppin’ In It.

The concert is being held as a way for the preserve to give back to all of its supporters, members and volunteers, and to that regard there will be no fee charged for the event.

Along with the dancing and music, there will also be the group’s meeting, which will inform those interested about how the watershed has changed over time, its history and how the group continues to strive to achieve its mission of protecting and preserving the resources there. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m.
