Yooper Dogs in Sault Ste. Marie opens
You don’t have to go all the way to Chicago or New York to get an authentic “street dog” experience thanks to the recently arrival of Yooper Dogs in Sault Ste. Marie.
The hot dog cart, which is owned and operated by Steve and Michelle Alexander, offers up a couple of variety of dogs, including the self-titled hit, The Yooper Dog, which comes with bacon, cheese, grilled potatoes and a nice touch of brown mustard.
Michelle Alexander is responsible for the culinary aspects of the food cart, and she brings with her more than 20 years of experience in the culinary and food service industry.
In addition to their hot dog selection, which is expected to expand soon to include gluten-free, diabetic-friendly and even vegan menu items, the cart has some soups and even some sweets available.
