Yooper Steez has made trek to all seven continents
There are quite a few U.P.-based apparel companies who are seeing great success lately, and we’re happy for all of them. Yooper Steez is one that’s been steadily growing, and recently announced a business landmark: they’ve shipped their products to all seven continents, and all 50 U.S. states as well.
Owner Justin Sailor (Bugsy to some) says since the company first launched in 2008, customers have been taking photos of themselves wearing Yooper Steez shirts in all sorts of locations. All seven continents now are on that list of places.
“We were surprised how fast the first six continents came. Turns out there are Yoopers and Upper Peninsula loving folk all across the world, and they’re doing awesome things,” he says. “As you may have guessed, it was Antarctica that remained elusive.”
It happened recently, when a friend of Sailor’s took a two-week Antarctic excursion, and brought a Yooper Steez shirt with her to complete the list.
