JW’s BBQ and Brew set to open in December
The idea initially started as a typical cafe, but John and Gale Wonsey realized that they wouldn’t really have a way to set themselves apart from the competition. And then the idea for JW’s BBQ and Brews was born.
The restaurant, which is currently accepting applications and is under construction, is looking at a December opening at the Bergland location right on M-28.
So what will you be able to get at JW’s? The expected menu will feature “authentic” Southern-style barbecue using a state-of-the-art smoker. Items like pulled pork, beef brisket, BBQ ribs, chicken and smoked sausage will be highlighted on the menu, as will their steaks and burgers. Additionally, JW’s will pay homage to a Friday tradition and have a fish fry. There will also be a full lunch and breakfast menu, too.
The kitchen at JW’s will be open seven days a week from 6 a.m. until 10 p.m. and there will be a full bar as well.
