"It gives me great pride to represent the manufacturing community of the Upper Peninsula and to manufacture products here that ship all over the world,” Bob Jacquart says.

Mental health providers are looking at the potential of telehealth -- meeting with patients by videoconference on computer or phone -- to increase access to mental health services, especially in rural areas where those services are limited.
Farms across rural Michigan are sprouting new activities -- corn mazes, haunted barns and more -- to attract new customers and grow their businesses.
“[The owners] thought it was really important that we’d be the only downtown television station in Marquette. They also liked the idea of taking an old building and rehabbing it,” says Brian Trauring, executive vice president for Lilly Broadcasting.
“The campus master plan presents a collective vision from our students, staff and faculty about the future of Michigan Tech and the facilities we will put in place to support that vision,” says Rick Koubek, Michigan Tech president..
“I firmly believe that public art brings the community together and it brings economic growth to an area. And I think that our community recognizes that,” says Mindy Meyers, program director for the Iron Mountain Downtown Development Authority.
