Fundraising brings renovation of Hancock Community Hub Theater a step closer

What’s happening: Fundraising for the renovation of the Hub Theatre into a cultural and community center has reached $25,956. Donations through Copper Shores’ Giving Tuesday campaign totaled $20,715. The theater renovation is a project of Right Start U.P., which announced the fundraising totals this month.

The renovation: The funds will go directly toward critical renovations, including the replacement of the stage floor for enhanced durability and performance. upgrading sound and lighting systems; installing projector equipment and theatrical blinds for a more immersive experience. These improvements will revitalize the historic theater space, formerly the Hancock High School Auditorium, into a premier venue for theater productions, musical performances, and other community events.
