West End Health Foundation opens application window for fall grants
The West End Health Foundation has opened the window application for two of its grant programs.

What’s happening: The West End Health Foundation has opened the window application for its Programmatic Grant Cycle and second round of 2025 Proactive Grants. Grant applications must be submitted by noon Sept. 26 through the foundation’s online portal.
About the grants: There are two grant types. The second round of the 2025 Proactive Grant centers on food security, addressing the growing need for accessible, healthy food options within the West End. A total of $40,000 is available to support eligible projects aligned with this theme. The other, the Programmatic Grant, provides funding for programs that support the health and wellness of Marquette County’s West End communities. Grants will range from $1,000 to $10,000, with a total of $50,000 in available funding.
What they’re saying: “We’re excited to open both grant cycles simultaneously, offering organizations the opportunity to pursue funding for initiatives that make a direct impact on the well-being of West End residents,” said Kori Bjorne, of the West End Health Foundation.
About the West End Health Foundation: The foundation provides grants to non-profit organizations for programs and services improving the health and wellness of residents of the City of Ishpeming and City of Negaunee and residents of the following townships: Champion, Ely, Humboldt, Ishpeming, Michigamme, Negaunee, Republic, Richmond, and Tilden.
